The Wild Rabbit
Wild Rabbit in the Cotswolds is a modern inn with locally sourced, seasonal food. There inn was renovated in 2013 and has a wonderful open dining room, where you can enjoy a menu inspired by the best seasonal produce from local farmers. Many of the ingredients are picked daily from the garden of the organic farm, Daylesford farm, nearby. We learned that that The Wild Rabbit is part of the Daylesford estate – which one of the most sustainable organic farms in the UK.
The inn has 13 beautifully decorated rooms. Each room is different, taking their names from the British countryside, with names such as The Rabbit, The mole and The Hedgehog (which is a family room catering two adults and two children).
However, since we were 5, we chose to stay in one of the cottages, which were within walking distance of The Wild Rabbit in the Village of Kingham. We stayed in the Dove Cottage, which was absolutely lovely. There was a double and a twin bedroom, each with their own welldesigned bathroom. My son had an extra bed in the master bedroom. There was also a fully equipped kitchen, eating area and a cosy sitting room with an open fire and a small garden.
Ufortunately, the kitchen at The Wild Rabbit was only open for breakfast the two days we stayed there (Monday and Tuesday). But the breakfast was possibly the best I have ever had in the UK. There was a wide choice between fresh fruit, granola, pancakes, cheese, omelets, traditional English breakfast etc. and we left fully fueled for the adventures of the day.

We also went to visit Daylesford farm. Which is only a short drive away from The Wild Rabbit (about 10 mins.). We visited Daylesford Organic farmshop, where you also find its award-winning restaurants and the Bamford Haybarn Spa.
Daylesford Organic Farm also has a number of selfcatering cottages where you can stay and take advantage of the spa.
